Telamon Constructs Innovation for Motion Controls Robotics, Inc.

Telamon was selected to build an exciting new addition for Motion Controls Robotics, Inc. —a company renowned for high-quality robotic automation solutions, including end-of-line integration. The scope included a building expansion of the machine assembly area and additional space for administrative offices to add just under 30,000 sf to their current facility. Telamon’s flexibility and adaptability proved instrumental in navigating through some tough project obstacles. Weather was problematic from the start of the project as Telamon battled exceedingly wet and muddy conditions during a stretch of unseasonably warm weather in the winter. Telamon’s self-performing capabilities played a significant role in maintaining the project’s momentum when building foundation work became challenging with many areas requiring re-excavation due to the unfavorable site conditions. In addition, electrical panel gear lead times posed a potential threat to the schedule and in obtaining a certificate of occupancy. Through Telamon’s persistence, constant communication and relationships with the project’s trade contractors, another supplier was able to expedite the electrical panel gear to stay on schedule and achieve occupancy.

With unique building features, including the striking display of Motion Controls Robotics' logo on two sides of their building and three large windows in the second-floor conference room that overlook the machine assembly area, Motion Controls Robotics’ newly expanded facility is ready to meet their growing operational needs. This project was fun for our team from the start with a groundbreaking event featuring a robot turning over the first shovel of dirt and many high-profile guests including Governor Mike DeWine. We were honored to be part of a team that supported the growth objectives of such an important company in our region.
