Summary
The Construction Superintendent provides day-to-day leadership and coordination of on-site construction activities. This role is ideal for an experienced foreman or superintendent with 2–5 years of leadership experience who is ready to grow within a stable, employee-owned company.
The Superintendent is responsible for field execution, safety leadership, coordination with trade partners, and serving as the primary on-site point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and inspectors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and coordinate field crews and subcontractors on commercial and industrial projects typically ranging from $1–5 million
- Plan, schedule, and oversee daily work activities, equipment, and material needs
- Serve as the primary on-site representative for Telamon Construction
- Maintain a strong, visible presence on the jobsite
- Enforce company safety policies and implement site-specific safety plans
- Review and understand project plans, specifications, schedules, and scopes
- Maintain daily reports, logs, and project documentation
- Identify potential risks and proactively develop mitigation plans
- Mentor and develop less-experienced field personnel
- Represent the company’s values and commitment to quality, safety, and professionalism
QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES
- 2–5 years of experience as a superintendent, assistant superintendent, or foreman ready to grow
- Strong background in commercial and/or industrial construction
- Proven leadership and communication skills
- Organized, proactive, and solution-oriented
- Comfortable using a laptop and company software daily in the field
- OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR preferred (training available)
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
- Ability to work outdoors in varied weather and navigate active jobsites
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Projects are typically within one hour of Sandusky, Ohio
- No overnight travel required
- Standard work hours: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
- Occasional voluntary Saturday work
